Conserving Watts by Watching) An Oregon school district dramatically cuts its energy costs.
Lighting: Metal-halide lighting with 400 watt bulb was replaced with electricity saving high-output T-5 florescent fixtures. Motion sensors now turn lighting off when gymnasiums are not occupied.
I have suggested doing this for three years and the board has continuously not agreed on energy saving ideas.

Motion sensors can be security risks at times and I agree with the rest of your board not to do them! If something happens because someone hides in a corner of a gym and either rapes a young lady or shoots someone up with drugs while the lights are off will you accept total responsibility? If I know you as I know the President of the US Republicans will stick together and deny everything!
