This is a tax increase anyway you look at it. Just like the Bond Swaps that were done. They mortgaged away the future.
I ask any voter to take this city proposal to their accountant or financial advisor. They will tell you it looks like a tax increase.
Remember, the home inspections were not tax increases either.

Finally things are sinking in. You are absolutely right the home inspections were not tax increases. They were a way for the city to get people to stop selling homes with issues. To many people were selling homes in this city and not doing any repairs and then before you know it the homes are falling the hell down or they a deemed inhabitable. What did you say Keith? O you said well if codes was keeping up with these issues then we wouldn't have this problem. You can blame the former Mayor's, like your buddy Joe and Paul for not keeping up with what codes was not doing. This current administration has gone from 3 inspectors to 18! Yes 18. And yes they are accomplishing alot and there is still more to do. They are doing a great job! Keith if you were smart you would jump right out of this race! Stay involved with the school board. And when my children get into the school system I will advise you to leave the post you hold up there too.
