Two crucial votes will be taken Wed. night Nov.28th,2007. #1 is the vote for more surveillance cameras. #2 is the vote on the Citadel project former St. Joesph hospital.
If the board votes no to these cameras I will hold certain members responsible if any incident happens.
If the vote is no to move forward I will hold the members responsible if we are sued. Also I will ask anyone who reads this blog to ask them why they would vote no.

Meeting at The Goggle Works
Paul Roedel who is the treasurer for the Goggle Works actually agreed with me. It was a suggestion to get more traffic in to the property. The more people who go in to the property, the better the chance of them spending some money.
The suggestion was to get better named movies. He showed me how the goggle works was under a contract for the movies that come in.
Paul was my x CEO at Carpenter Technology with an extensive background in finance.

Positive Thinking of the city
My parents told me over 17/yrs ago that I was making a mistake moving to the city. I told several people that if the administrations direction isn't changed it will only get worse.

Utilities for one month were at $42,186 / rounding that off it would come out to $480,000 per yr.

I applaud their efforts regarding Real Estate (School Tax). The problem is that they didn't address the spending issues of schools.
If spending isn't addressed it won't matter how schools are funded because you will never have enough money. Most School Districts will always say the solution to their problems is that they need more money.

Please ask the people who voted no or abstained what their plans are? Are these board members going to justify wasting over $5,000,000 dollars of taxpayer money?

Open Records
It is so easy, just make the records be open and honest. I along with many other taxpayers won't be so quick to criticize if we open the books and tell the public the truth.
Things will be better when
We have open government and not try to hide facts. These facts include disclosing how much The Famous Goggle Works is costing the taxpayers of Reading, the state of Pa. , The Federal government. We need to let the citizens of Reading know the truth.

Comments on my Blog

Goggle Apartments and Section 8
I was told the Goggle apartments had to add about (10) Section 8 apartments to get the financing through. I hope this isn't true because wealthy people will never live with poor people.

This report was done without the current funding increases the Reading Schools received from the state. I think it needs to be analyzed.

It took at least (3) members of city council, Governor Rendell,and approx. $100,000 dollars to win. Congratulations to all of the Big Businessmen who now must see certain things happen. #1 Tax Increase on property. This is just the start. Please hang on to more feel good government.

What I Had to contend with
The Pa. State Committee would not save me postage with my political mailing. The reason was given because I had a Canadian Flag along side of The American Flag on my lapel.
This was a sad excuse when Canada is one of our biggest allies. Basically I ran my campaign as an independent.

The Elections Board has it wrong
They should have records for how long that I've been with the Republican party. I ran with Dennis Michael Moyer and Rod Steffey both democrats and they wanted a republican to run with them. I crossed filed and received over 5,000 democratic votes. This is why the democratic party called me every two weeks for two years to change my party.

The superintendent of schools (Dr. Thomas Chapman) confirmed that The Goggle Works is losing money. Why is this a secret to the taxpayer?

Tom McMahon told everyone that taxes weren't involved with building the Goggle Works.
The truth is $5,000,000 of Federal and State tax dollars were pumped into the Goggle Works.
The Reading School District also waived the $30,000 dollar school tax bill. The GOGGLE WORKS now charges the school district over $10,000 dollars a year to send students to this enterprise.
I guess this pays the huge natural gas utility bill.
