Currently Nelson is teaching inner city youth from ages 6 thru 10. He is doing this while going to school at Temple. He has (12) E.S. Students for approx. 3 hr.

Keep up the good work Nelson and maybe someday you can come back to Reading and be a Superintendent.

City Budget Woes

The City of Reading needs to reduce their budget. The 2% reduction isn't enough.Remember,Stamm informed the people that their Taxes would be increased tremendously by McMahon.

Today Was A Sad Day

Elevator not working at The Goggle Works. If this is true than that might explain why The Goggle Works came to The Reading School District to Bail them out??

The Goggle Works requested $100,000. Initially they wanted a tax forgiveness, than they wanted $10,000 and now the latest Feel Good request is for $100,000

School Expansion Costs

Why didn't the Reading Eagle write about the huge loss of Taxes to the city ?

The former Ludens site and The Reading Farmers market site at 8th and Penn.

This expansion will cost someone ?? State and Federal Taxpayers Maybe there isn't anyone in Reading left to pay any Tax at all??

Open Letter to Reading City Council

I want all council members to realize that the Reading School District has other places for more schools.

St. Joesph site has 13 acres and can handle another school.

JCC Site has 15+ acres and has room for another school

Windsor and Ritter playground is owned by the Reading School District and can handle a school.

There is room for expansion at North East and 13th and Union.


Who will make up the Tax loss,taking away the Taxes that are now collected on Ludens and Reading Farmers Market???

Runaway Spending Breeds Corruption

Spending on food at all meetings. The money spent by school directors for food and trips.

The money spent by administrators on Welcome back parties? The monies spent by administrators for employee Christmas parties?

Spending almost $3,000 to give a speech in Hawaii??


Certain School Directors will tell you a Forensic Audit will Cost to much.

I think if you Total what is spent on all trips and Feel good meals you will find that a Forensic Audit is a Bargain.

The thought that things just don't Happen in Reading just makes me cringe. Things do happen and Police should never been removed from Reading High School.

Reading School District Superintendent to attend conference in Las Vegas.I find it interesting tha certain School Board Directors and Superintendent have money to burn in Vegas but haven't resolved the Teacher contract.

Undocumented Residents

In a 7-2 vote the Reading School Board voted to purchase 8th and Penn. This so called opportunity center will be used to register undocumented residents of Reading ,Pa. Cinfici and Stamm voted no to this.

Captain Jimenez has been promoted to VP at Reading High School. McCree,Santoro and Wertz voted no to this appointment.

Board Has Double Standard

The Reading School Board voted 7-2 against a professional visitation to Las Vegas for a Volleyball clinic. Today Board President McCree and School Director Pierre Cooper leave to attend a conference in Las Vegas.

A Sad Night At Reading High

Why do we still have stained ceiling tiles at Reading High School? We spent how many million on new roofs?

Some of our classrooms didn't have ceiling tiles? Some of our classrooms had stained ceiling tiles?

Hallway outside of library has multiple stains?

How many supervisors do we now have in maintenance?? Why can't the maintenance or financial department do it the right way?

Las Vegas Here We Come

Reading School District School Board meeting has been changed to Tuesday night 9/23/08.
This change was made to accommodate Board President Karen McCree and school director Pierre Cooper. They leave for Las Vegas on Wed. 9/24/08 to obtain a garden full of knowledge.

Im hopeful the Reading School Board will be given a written report.

College Heights Meeting 9/14/08

I asked Mayor McMahon if he had an opinion about Firetree ? This is the organization involved with the Caum home. He told the audience at Nativity Church that legally he couldn't have an opinion.

Would Mayor Lou Barletta have given the same answer??? I also informed the Eagle reporter in attendance to check if the new owner of the Caum home and firetree had donated to Mayor McMahons campaign. Is this the reason why the Mayor doesn't have an opinion?? Imagine a Mayor without an opinion.

Property Tax Hike ?

This didn't happen with the Reading School District. My prediction will come true. The City of Reading will raise Taxes substanially under the McMahon Administration.

Did you know The Goggle Works wants to charge Reading School District $100,000 for students to go there. This is after we have waived their school taxes for approx. $40,000.

It seems whenever The Goggle Works needs money they come to the Cash Cow.

Forensic Audits are needed at City hall and the Reading School District. Why are people afraid to have it done?? Maybe , certain people are afraid of what would come out of a forensic audit?

Security Chief Ray Albert told me he can get these dogs to sniff out our schools. Why would the Reading School Board be scared to have these dogs smell our schools??
