What Does A School Director Really Care About?
The Reading School Directors voted 8-1 to allow Directors to take more then (2) trips a year. This was justified in their minds if another director gives up their privilege of going. The board would need at least (5) votes to approve. This was voted on at their April 23rd meeting.
Before You Vote For a Local Candidate
Before you Vote for a local candidate ask yourself. Did this person stand for something they believed in the past? Did they go against mainstream politics? Was this person afraid to Vote No?

Simple Wisdom
" Our perception of the world comes from our past experiences and is influenced by our expectations of the future. Only when both can be put aside is it possible to experience the richness of the present moment and see the world from a fresh perspective."

My No Vote
I could not support borrowing $100,000,000 when we currently have over $20,000,000 in reserve. (7) NEW SCHOOLS when we just approved moving forward last year with 3 others.
There are to many repairs that need to be accomplished before we build anymore new schools.

Clinton Victory
I feel Senator Clinton won in Pa. due to OBAMA'S comments about guns and religion. People might be bitter but to associate that with guns and religion was wrong.

Why Do People Worry?
I think The Real Truth is that certain people are afraid of this blog. They don't like the fact that if they vote a certain way it will be here if its not in the paper! Why do you keep bringing up the Mayors race. You all got what you wanted! Just wait I still might have the last laugh.
Goggle Apartments
I challenged Mr. Albert Boscov last night to admit that plans changed for these apartments. Section 8 housing has been added (12) units will be section 8. I told the board that I wasn't the only one concerned about this. Mr. Paul Roedel my former CEO of Carpenter Technology told me Mr. Boscov didn't want no for an answer. He also told me at least 100 people were also concerned about this matter.
Registered Republican
I was a Democrat until President Carter scared me away and former President Ronald Reagan was running for office.

Chill Out Breathe Deep
I placed it on my blog because some people are worried what it cost! It doesn't necessarily have to be my concern or question? Hey maybe Wed night I can publicly talk about free vacations that people take!
Custodians at OBAMA Event
How much money was spent on custodial chores before, during , and after the OBAMA Event?
Comment About Tickets
I wasn't the Board President when the candidate came here. It wasn't my responsibility to get the students tickets. I agree with you on this. All of Reading School District Government classes should of had the opportunity to attend. What a fantastic opportunity to see a former President Bill Clinton the other week.
Why? Oh Why?
Why was Senator Clinton turned away from Reading High School? Didn't she want to pay the overtime for our security guards? Did Senator OBAMA pay for the overtime? Did someone want it to look like Reading is just supporting OBAMA?
Stamm Attended both events?
The reason I attended both campaign events was that it was a piece of history. When I speak in front of a government class I always tell students to go and hear a Presidential candidate. If I am going to talk about something I usually will do what I say.

Original Letter Sent To Reading Eagle Editor
Dear Editor:
In recent weeks there have been accusations of people calling school board director Mr. Keith Stamm "racist". I worked with Mr. Stamm on many occasions. I served on his energy committee last year as a high school senior. We found ways to cut back energy costs throughout the district, so that we could save money for other things such as books , supplies, etc. I helped out very much in his mayoral campaign as well. Mr. Stamm constantly asked for my opinions and point of views on many issues. Even though we have our political differences Mr. Stamm gave me the wonderful opportunity to serve on his campaign, and I couldn't be more grateful, and we still keep in touch to discuss current issues. And did I mention I come from Hispanic decent? We had four students on our energy committee and all four came from different backgrounds not only ethnically but also religiously. The fact that we have people going around calling Mr. Stamm a racist is absolutely absurd. Racism may still be alive and well in some of the southern states but racism in Pennsylvania and Berks County has come to a standstill. If in 2008 we as a society are still going around accusing people of being racists, then it shows that our society has not gotten anywhere from the unjust world that we once lived in from the 60's and all previous decades. I think we have come a long way from that. Mr. Stamm has posted disclaimers all over his blog site saying he assumes no responsibility for what others post. Our founding fathers gave us freedom of speech and we have the ability to exercise that right as long as it does not hurt other people . There is nothing on that blog that is hurtful to the citizens of Reading, and Berks County, or any citizens for that fact. These accusations on Mr. Stamm are completely false. He has helped many people from all walks of life, putting their needs in front of his. This stunt by Rev McCraken and fellow school directors has been nothing more than a political stunt. Instead of accusing fellow school directors of being racist the board needs to work together to get things done, and to ensure that the district has the necessary tools at its disposal to ensure the students of the Reading School district are receiving a quality education and preparing them for the challenges of the 21st century.
Thank you and may God Bless

$100,000,000 Bond Issue
What is really the cost to the local taxpayer? Everyone has to pay a Bond issue back. Let's just wish it all away! LOL
Response to Diamond in the rough
JCC property has two prices market value and appraised value. If you try and take this property by eminent domain it would wind up in court for at least two years and cost the taxpayers in the end alot more money. Attorney fees, inflation, court costs, and general market conditions change real fast.

OBama @ Lincoln /Senator Dodd
The next thing they will want to compare OBama to Reagan. I guess its a good strategy to compare a bleeding heart liberal to a conservative.

Why did OBAMA turn down a local radio station for an interview?
