Vacation For Dr. Rose ?

This was for her to give a speech on Violence which enhanced her resume.

Dinner For School Directors

I paid for my own dinner and it was $14.00. For several years I donated between $50.00 and $100.00 which I felt covered the cost of my own dinner.

The Long Shadow Of The JFK Assassination

Legacy of Secrecy explains the killing of JFK,RFK,and MLK and the involvement of The Mafia,CIA and our own government in the cover up.

This book was written by Lamar Waldron and was the best that I have read pertaining to this sad chapter in History.

Teacher Charged In Drug Sales

I will continuously ask for Drug Sniffing Dogs to go through our Senior High School.

Does the Reading School Board really believe this could happen? Remember, phone calls are made to every little town in New York. The New York to Reading ,Pa. connection.
These calls are made from the museum, the high school, and cell phones???

Reading's Drug Sniffing Dogs

Reading's K-9 corp. must walk through our schools unannounced. Why wouldn't the Reading School Board want this to happen???

Board Votes To Send Cooper on Vacation

On May 20th,2009 the Reading School Board voted 7-2 to send Pierre Cooper away to Chicago even after knowing he lost in the Primary Election.Stamm and Cinfici voted no to this trip,

Why would they do this ? Could it be the same reason they sent Dr. Rose James to Hawaii ?

"Be Music,Night"
By Kenneth Patchen

Be music,night
That her sleep may go
Where angels have their pale tall choirs

Be a hand,sea,
That her dreams may watch
Thy guidesman touching the green flesh of the world

Be a road,earth,
That her walking may take thee
Where the towns of heaven lift their breathing spires

O be a world and a throne,God,
That her living may find its weather
And the souls of ancient bells in a child's book
Shall lead her into Thy wondrous house

Board Meeting On May.20th,2009

Finance Resolution #16: I presented evidence that the Oakshire Senior Apartment complex should not have their assessment lowered by $1,000,000.
They didn't present any evidence as to why they wanted this lowered other than to make a higher profit. The Board Vote was 9-0 not to lower the assessment.

Other News will follow on: Modifying the terms of cabinet members if their contract isn't renewed, the cabinet members will not lose the paid medical benefit for employee and their spouse. I stayed consistent with my vote of 5 years ago and was the only one on the school board to vote no again.

Response To Delta Force

Vaughn Spencer who was a teacher at Southern always had a sport jacket and looked professional. He retired in the year 2008.
AT my high school guys would wear jeans but I would wear dress pants.I never had hair laying on my shoulders.

Dress Code For Teachers

I can still appreciate how my 7th grade English teacher would dress(Mrs. Sager).
She always looked so professional.
Take this test:Go to a grocery store in jeans and a polo shirt and then come back (1) hr. later, dressed with a dress shirt and tie. Ask yourself the question if anyone treated you differently?

Reading Police K-9 Unit To Fold

Front page of today's Reading Eagle:I have a Simple question? What is the real reason for eliminating the Drug Sniffing Dogs?
Are the dogs doing such a terrific job on the drug trade in Reading? What is the position of Mayor McMahon on this situation? Chief Heim : Please stop acting like a liberal. I'm asking people to just do what is right or wrong.

Prom Complaints

I received numerous complaints on how the students entered to the prom on friday night. Many parents were upset that the students didn't enter the same way as before.
I'm hopeful that whoever attended the prom had an excellent time.

I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts.

Today's Thoughts

"I think the purpose of life is to be useful,to be responsible,to be compassionate. It is above all to matter,to count,to stand for something,to have made some difference that you lived at all." Leo Rosten

This came from Jose Santiago's memorial service : I felt it was accurate because Jose did make a difference in people's lives.

Where Does All The Money Go???

Today's Reading Eagle dated May 3,2009 page B-4. I did not Vote on placing this Ad in the newspaper.
Why does the Reading School Board and the Reading School administration feel this Ad needed to be in the paper?
It sounds like a political ad to me and was paid for by the taxpayers. Was this legal for the Reading School Board to do?

Question to ask a school director: How much did this political ad cost???
