Reading Eagle article in today's Reading Eagle B-1. Every School District other than Reading evidently sees the value of a Police Officer in their schools.
Keith Stamm was the only yes Vote to pay for police at the High School.This is one more reason to run for School Director of the Reading School District.

Why predict this? Why can't you ask School Boards to look at all costs? Where the money is hidden? What do they spend money on? Conferences that are basically vacations paid with Taxpayer monies? National School Board conventions that you can watch on film.

I think if you eliminate all food at meetings and all trips outside the state of Pa. you would be able to pay School Directors. Hey it might be a cheaper way to go?

Maintenance Issues At Reading School District

Ceiling Tile that was hanging by a thread at the Geigle Complex was fixed Thursday 1/15/09. Thank you to the people involved.There are still some stained ceiling tiles that need to be replaced. This was reported to Bill Knowles and Barry Suski in November.

Today the heat isn't working properly at SouthWest.Barry Suskie was notified because Bill Knowles and Steve Kennedy are on vacation.Unfortunately I had to become involved to have something corrected.

Please report anything that appears to be a safety issue to management and make a copy of it for future reference.

Where's The Beef?

Instead of "Where's The Beef",it is Where's The Salt??? I received several phone calls about sidewalks and parking lots not being salted.I know two trucks were in on Sunday overtime.What did these men do ???

Reading School Directors Please Wakeup

What will it Take? A student to be killed or seriously paralyzed before the Reading School Board votes to bring back two police officers that were at Reading High School.Our famous Mayor McMahon removed them under Board President McCree's watch.

Now that the City of Reading funded The Pagoda for $1,000,000 and The Goggle Works for another $1,000,000 they are Broke. For everyones information The Goggle Works also wants The Reading School District to give The Goggle Works over $100,000 for students to go there. The Reading School District has waived their Tax Bill.Can the Reading School District waive my Tax bill?

Wilson High School

Even Wilson High School has a resource officer on duty.( Todays Reading Eagle )The Reading School Board with all their wisdom evidently think that police aren't needed at the High School.

It Is A Shame Why does this happen?

When some current Board members cannot say hello to a former student Nelson Diaz. Why does this happen? Is it because they don't agree with his political views? Are they jealous of his success? Are these same board members just ignorant?

Vote On Charter School

I did not Vote on Charter School because of the rules of voting.The solicitor for the school district insisted that I had to be at the hearing.I would have voted for it because I think the parents of Reading need an alternative for their children.

Most parents in the City of Reading cannot afford a private school and this would give them an alternative.

Ask yourself Who did these Swaps: The City of Reading?,The Reading School District?,Berks County? Keith Stamm requested another opinion before the School district did a Bond Swap.Dennis Kelley (school district finance manager advised the school board not to enter into a Swap.)The School Board wanted to make Keith out to be some nut case.I guess Keith was pretty smart on this issue.

The Pagoda ( Did You Know ? )

The Pagoda is seven stories high,28 feet wide and 50 feet long.It stands 620 feet above the city of Reading and 886 feet above sea level.There are a total of 87 steps to the top. The observation room was originally an open-air lookout.On a clear day you can see a 30-mile panoramic view.
