GORDON HOODAK STADIUM

saturday, June 3,2006

Keith Stamm attended the dedication of the baseball stadium. I was disappointed that i was the only shool director in attendance.

The bigger disappointment was that our superintendent Dr. Thomas Chapman did not attend this function

In response to the first comment:

Roberto Clemente was a wonderful HERO. He was a truly wonderful humanitarian and a role model for Hispanic Americans. But he NEVER stepped foot on Berks County soil. I believe that we should honor those who have made a difference in our city schools. Does anyone remember the time immediate to Hoodak's principalship??? It wasn't pretty!! This man has stayed at Lauer's Park over many years and has given more to the READING COMMUNITY then Roberto Clemente ever did. He deserves this, humbly.

It isn't because he is white....IT is because Gordon Hoodak made and continues to make a difference in the city of Reading. Every resident should continue to be grateful for his dedication to Lauer's Park.
