I can still appreciate how my 7th grade English teacher would dress(Mrs. Sager).
She always looked so professional.
Take this test:Go to a grocery store in jeans and a polo shirt and then come back (1) hr. later,dressed with a dress shirt and tie. Ask yourself the question if anyone treated you differently?

You attended school at a different time in history, and in a different district.
Men should not wear ties (other than clip-ons) in classrooms - it's a personal safety issue.
Women should not wear skirts in classrooms - also a safety issue.
