Sundays Reading Eagle June 7th,2009: This is the first time since Kori Walter left the Eagle that anyone addressed the abuse of The Reading School Board.
When the current Superintendent was hired a little over 4 years ago the Board went for a Lavish dinner at the Abe Lincoln. Mr. Kori Walter met me in the lobby wanting to do a breaking story that Keith Stamm broke his promise that he wouldn't eat food on the taxpayer dime.I stopped that story because I produced a receipt for my meal that I paid for.
On a more recent time The Scholastic Recognition Dinner and the Sports Banquet I will provide a receipt of my check paying for my own food. Will Cinfici is the only other Board member to not eat before School meetings.
Recently,I told Dr. Chapman to make a list of School Directors and analyze why they are on the Reading School Board: Are they there for the right reason??

Did Forester hit the nail on the head this time... You may not be the brightest star on the Reading school board, but at least you have some ethics. Can't say that about some of the "higher educated" board members. The same ones who I've heard had a major role in putting the current central administration and high school administration in place. And this is what you get, INCOMPETENCE!!! This article is not a very good reflection on the Reading school board and administration.
By the way, that was a good article about the bond swaps. I hope something can be done to put a positive glow on this district.
