School Board Votes to Spend $25,000 on a Sign

The Reading School Board voted to spend $25,000 on a lighted sign in front of the Geigle complex. Jim Washington was absent from the meeting. I voted No and stated why I could not vote for this expense.

This coming year the Reading School District will be receiving less monies from the State of Pennsylvania. I would rather save these spending sprees now and possibly save an employee. We might lose (10) percent of our total budget.This would amount to $20,000,000 dollars.
